Southern Oaks Wedding With a City Park First Look

Ginny got ready at her childhood home, and she had two cute pups to help her prep.

Working with Brenner Photography & Films, the day started early at Ginny’s childhood home, where two cute pups helped move things along. These two had an adorable affection for one another, and their friends and family were *so* game to celebrate it. Ginny’s girls even put together a whole scrapbook detailing the beginning and flourishing of their relationship.

The first look took place at City Park with the moss hanging above. The winter day, thankfully, wasn’t wintry at all, with perfect weather as Ryan’s gobsmacked eyes saw Ginny in her dress for the first time. Huge fan of how quickly Ryan was swept away by seeing her; it felt like the two couldn’t sense anything outside of their own little moment.

After having some fun with some quick portraits, we jumped over to Southern Oaks in New Orleans East, which had all the glitz and glamour that we’ve come to expect from such an iconic venue. They opted to hold the ceremony in front of the building, with the fountain guiding their procession down the aisle. And of course their vows and first kiss were capped by a huge fireworks explosion, one of the highlights of any wedding at the venue.

Ginny’s bridesmaids got turnt up for the reception, bringing enough energy to not have the dance floor sag for even a second. Exactly the kind of energy that I’m always looking for from a group.

A big exit ended the night with a kiss and lights swirling all around them.
