A trip through the French Quarter with a rooftop ceremony

Let me tell you something about Katie and Alex. Five days before their wedding, their *outdoors balcony wedding*, Mother Nature decided to plop a foot of snow along the metro area. You couldn’t get around the city the day before their rehearsal dinner.

I’m not going to lie, there were some nerves, but both of them were so cool and calm talking in the days leading up to it. Above all else they were just excited to celebrate with friends and family, regardless of what the weather held.

And guess what? They were rewarded. Not only did basically all of the snow melt, the weather warmed up a good bit, and we were left with absolutely wonderful blue skies to match the smiles among the bridal party and guests.

Working with Peony Photography, we started the day off at a room downtown with a wonderful brick texture and large windows. Ended up being the perfect spot to snag some shots of the first looks.

Then we went to one of the final weddings at Riverview Room before its renovation and shift into a new business. There were some lovely vows and a wonderful reception with DJ Mafia Music Entertainment providing the entertainment.
