Michael and Angelle's Wedding Day

It's hard to imagine a more beautiful wedding day for Angelle and Michael. Hosted at Southern Oaks Plantation, the ceremony had perfect weather for its night under the stars. Angelle rode to Michael's side on a horse-drawn carriage, and as they became husband and wife, fireworks launched into the air and confetti fell to the ground.

Angelle said she'd been dreaming of her wedding day since she was a little girl. With Michael by her side, that dream come true.

Michael and Angelle's Wedding Teaser

Last Thursday, the night before Michael and Angelle were married, the groom told a sweet story about realizing how his bride became his best friend.

Angelle's dad loved it -- "the best damn speech I've ever heard," he said -- and looking back at the day now, it's clear Angelle carried those words with her throughout their wedding day, with a smile spanning cheek to cheek.

Horse-drawn carriages, fireworks and a beautiful ceremony under the stars are coming up next for Michael and Angelle. Stay tuned.

Patrick + Katie's Wedding Day

Hard think of a better day than Valentine's Day to unveil the full look at Patrick and Katie's stunning wedding.

There are so many more moments I wish I could have fit in, but I guess that's what the Blu-Ray is all about!

Now excuse me as I go enjoy my staycation and Krewe du Vieux before another wedding next Friday. Stay tuned!

A Big History lesson

It had been months since I was able to get into the studio, so when my friend Meg, the frontwoman for local indie band Big History, asked if I'd be interested in shooting a few promo shots ahead of Buku Fest, I jumped at the chance.

Meg was going for a straight-forward, St. Vincent kind of look, so we shot a few variations on that theme:

Then she let me have my fun with another shot after I fell in love with the couches and awesome brick wall in the studio:

Side note for photo friends: NOLA Spaces is an amazing, affordable place to head to if you need tall ceilings and some awesome walls for your photo shoot. Go check 'em out.

Patrick + Katie Wedding Teaser

Katie and Patrick are one of the easiest-going couples I've worked with. Both seemed so confident and calm and eager, ready to experience their big day with big smiles.

Here's a look at how their wedding day began.

In the next video, we'll take you to the luxurious St. Patrick's Church for their ceremony and then the Cannery in Mid-City, which will possibly feature some downright impressive bridal twerking...

The making of NOLA's Blonde Ale

It's been a couple months since I've been able to do a How It's Done shoot for WWL-TV, so it was nice to ease back into things with maybe my favorite subject -- beer.

NOLA Brewing has become my favorite local brewery in the last few years -- I'm especially of a fan their Mechahopzilla -- so tasting it from the tap right at its source was a delight. If I got to learn a little bit about how beer is made in the process, that's just fine by me.

Antwan and Jackie's Engagement Party

Antwan and his beautiful fiancee Jacquelyn were kind enough to invite me to shoot pictures for their engagement party at the lovely Saulet Clubhouse.

N.O.'s biggest chefs host one delicious charity

I'm all for supporting a good cause, but when it's a cause that allows me to eat tasty dishes from 10 of the biggest chefs in New Orleans? I'm going to be very down for that.

Some of the big names attending the Chefs' Charity benefiting St. Michael's were Emeril Lagasse, John Besh, Leah Chase, John Folse and more.
